Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand guest testimonial:
My girlfriend Jay and I visited Tiger Muay Thai in late October this year for 2 weeks and cannot speak more highly of our whole experience.
The first thing we noticed is that the camp is huge, and run by a very committed, helpful and happy group of people which made us feel comfortable from the outset.
When we arrived at the main office, we were initially greeted by the Director of Education, Sales and Marketing; Phillipe Lauren. He’s been at TMT for the last few years and loves getting up to go to work each day, which is evident in the manner in which he dealt with us and anyone else that comes to visit. He is ably assisted by Joey Gonzales who manages Guest Services. She’s usually got a smile on her face and is always running around helping the guests with their needs. Their enthusiasm was contagious and they both made the Tiger Muay Thai experience all that much better, providing a feeling of being welcome and very much a part of the ‘Tiger Muay Thai family’.
But the main reason why we were there was to train. ‘Magical’ Ray Elbe, a BJJ Black belt and Director of Training manages a wonderful group of mainly Thai trainers who are all very experienced and successful ex-fighters. Their knowledge, patience and vast experience provide them a platform to push you just beyond your limits each day, testing your capabilities and honing your skills so you make noticeable daily improvements. Ray oversees the program and has an assertive yet fun nature which gels the training program together. He is a true character, extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. Rolling with him was definitely an experience!
I would wholeheartedly encourage anyone who may be procrastinating about visiting Thailand and Tiger Muay Thai to just jump in and book it…soon. It’ll be a trip you’ll never forget and you might even get to meet a current UFC fighter while you’re there….like I did. I’ll certainly be making the trip back.
See you soon TMT!!
